How to Complete an Application
The first step to filling out an application is to follow all instructions.
Begin answering the questions and DO NOT leave any blank. If you are unsure of a question, such as salary, put "negotiable" for an answer.
Make sure your answers are brief and to the point. Do not add unnecessary information. On the same note, do not omit information. For example, list all job history in the last 10-15 years. Employers do background checks and leaving information out could be considered falsifying your application.
Try to get dates exact or as close as possible. If you were off work six months to a year without explanation, this could hurt your chances of getting the position. Be truthful on every question!
Finally, sign the application and date it if required.

A resume is a summary of your experience and qualifications, therefore be brief and to the point. A hiring authority wants something that describes all your qualifications, but does not take a lot of time to read. An excellent length for a resume is one or two pages. Remember, a resume
is about your job qualifications, so leave out any personal information, such as family members, religion, physical description, etc.
OBJECTIVE:
What type of position are you wanting? A resume should begin with your objective. Limit this to one or two sentences.
EDUCATION:
Secondly give information on your education. List high school graduated from and any colleges or vocational schools attended.
EXPERIENCE:
Next list employment; make sure to include dates, title, name of company, city and state of company, and a short job description.
SKILLS:
Then list your skills, such as computer programs, typing, 10 key, forklift, calipers/micrometers, etc.
VOLUNTEER WORK: (Optional)
Last you could put volunteer work, but this is optional. In this section, include anything that you volunteered for or any charity work.
